I’m Chris and here’s my story! With a professional background in finance and administrative work I found myself struggling with addiction, depression and wanting to find my calling, feeling constantly that something was wrong. I struggled at this time in my life through my own mental health challenges and a huge dark night of the soul. Within the darkest moments of my life, and by surrendering into the unknown, I realised the presence of spirit and had a spiritual awakening - discovering connection with my guides. My personal healing journey led to me hearing of plant medicines and alternative therapies including sound healing and shamanism. I have a personal shamanic practice with which I live my life, following a Celtic Druidic approach. I spend my life looking for art and beauty in every situation, striving to make beauty out of my own shadows. I have been for many years been studying music, sound, sacred ceremony, various approaches to spirituality and healing modalities both alternative and mainstream. This is including core shamanic techniques, meditative practises and NLP and CBT which I’ve incorporated into my own daily life and continue to study more deeply. I’ve also completed a spiritual study in the Amazonian rainforest of Brazil with the spirituality and medicines of the Yawanawa tribe, a study I will continue to deepen as the years go on. The majority of my own spiritual practice, and healing practice for others has been spirit-led, I have a deep connection with my guides and follow their direction. Before I knew it, people began approaching me for healing and ceremonies without my advertising anything. It has all happened and grown organically, and I continue to nurture this through personal development and training. My entire life changed as my own healing journey began to blossom and before long, I found myself assisting in holding space for healing experiences over the course of three years, which eventually led me to meeting my beloved, partner and love Marguerite. We began travelling and working together in the UK and internationally working at and holding various retreats and ceremonies. I truly love sharing this work, seeing the transformation of participants and sharing in the magic we weave within sacred spaces. I believe that the seeds these experiences sow in the human consciousness will bring about the changes needed in society. At the core of my beliefs is the truth that humans must return back to the embrace of nature to find harmony within and outside of ourselves, and this belief is the foundation to all the work I offer. As I continue to grow and study on this path I have made it my life’s work to provide beautiful, safe, and sacred containers with which people can attain the highest possible versions of themselves and integrate that into their normal lives. I had always been a very sensitive soul and from a young age, it felt as though I carried too much pain. After experiencing multiple traumas in my younger life, I lost my way and became disconnected from myself – and then chose to keep escaping and dissociating in any way I could. I became lost in addictions, eating disorders, depression, harmful and self-sabotaging behaviours and patterns. I had very little self-esteem, self-belief and felt disconnected from everyone around me. By my early twenties I faced a very strong descent into my own personal underworld, which I now recognize to be part of my own initiation onto this path and my awakening. I lost myself completely, a complete annihilation of the self – which eventually led to my first spiritual awakening, and my awareness of healing energies and the angelic realms. Despite even having extreme life struggles and challenges, I was always drawn to be in helping professions my whole life – acting the ‘wounded healer’ and finding meaning in supporting others. I have studied Psychology, social work and counselling skills and worked for many years within the social care sector with vulnerable children and adults. I have worked and supported people with a variety of complex needs including individuals facing addiction, mental health problems, homelessness, domestic violence, offenders, refugees, modern slavery survivors, children and families and so on. I was always committed to being a light in the dark, even for those facing the most challenging of circumstances – to the best of my ability. However, I did not resonate or fit working within these social care ‘systems’ and my true passion has always been in the realms of the creative, spiritual and magical. I first became an Energy healer in 2012, beginning my journey with Usui Reiki which I trained to Reiki Master Teacher level. I began travelling the world and training in a number of holistic healing modalities. My travels took me on spiritual and soul-searching journeys where I have studied wisdom and spirituality of multiple cultures and took part in philanthropic work. This has included working with children including those living on the street in Zimbabwe, Peru and Nepal. I studied Vedic spirituality in India, and went on pilgrimage to sacred sites in Japan amongst others. I began sitting with the sacred plant teachers in Peru in 2013 where I was first introduced to plant spirit shamanism. My enthusiasm to learn more about shamanism led me to complete a life-changing training utilizing core shamanic techniques, advanced energy healing and learning to hold space within ceremonies in 2017. During this time, I combined study of family systems theory, ancestral healing, shamanism with plant medicine to connect and provide healing to my own ancestral line. In 2022, I travelled to Brazil and completed a Samakei Diet and Study with the Yawanawa tribe of the Brazilian Amazon where we learnt their ancestral tradition and spirituality. My journey with the medicine path has been powerful and humbling and I continue to bow to the Great Mystery. My approach with shamanism comes from my study of all the various lineages and traditions that I have experienced, and a deep affinity to the Celtic-druidic ways of my homelands. My greatest joy on this path has been to hold spaces where people can come together to pray for the Earth. I refer to myself as a ‘sacred activist’ as I organize ceremonial events and rituals as offering to our mother Gaia, including sacred tree planting and I founded a non-profit environmental organization in 2019. I have a passion for land healing work, and holding the prayer that humanity can live in right relationship with the Earth and each other. Indeed, my own salvation came through establishing this relationship and reconnecting to myself and the sanctity of all life, through my healing path. In 2020, whilst living in Glastonbury-Avalon I developed a transformational relationship with the medicine of the Rose, and the lineage representing the sacred marriage of the Sophia-Christos. I studied and chose to dedicate as an Avalon Rose Priestess, with a special spiritual affinity with Maria Magdalena who I feel represents the rise of the divine feminine within our planetary consciousness. During this powerful alchemical moment in my life, where I worked with the power of the rose, I finally manifested my beloved into my life. I had already done lots and lots of self-work on myself, to heal my heart, my relationships, my ancestral line and to love myself – yet I am so grateful to the spirit of the rose for her activation and profound medicine within my life. Chris arrived when I least expected – but only at the perfect moment in complete divine timing. This was the moment my whole life truly changed, and I found the partner in all senses of the word I had searched for my entire life. It fills me with so much gratitude to be with a partner who shares my passion for healing work, shamanism and who is committed as I to walking a path of beauty, growth and love. We have been working together ever since and our love story will always be my favourite. I am so so grateful for my life experience of moving through personal darkness to self-empowerment, realising my dreams and being of joyful service to others.
